透過電子郵件（corpinfo@sos.texas.gov）查詢是否與現有國內或國外公司名稱重複

或類似；若不使用登記之公司名稱而以不同名稱從事營業活動，可以向州務卿申請

「營業用名稱」（do business as，簡稱d/b/a，又稱Assumed Name Certificate）。獨資

（Sole Proprietorship）、一般合夥（General Partnership）、不動產（Estates）、不動產

投資信託（Real Estate Investment Trusts）只需向當地郡政府登記即可。

完成公司名稱登記後，至美國稅局（IRS）申請雇主身分號碼（Employer

Identification Number，簡稱EIN，又稱聯邦稅識別號碼（Federal Tax Identification

Number）），為企業報稅之身分證號碼。
