Designated Brand of Award-Winning Buildings in Asia – IMPERIAL Builds Smart Energy-Efficient Factory

InvesTaiwan today (25th) approved the additional investment of NT$900 million in total by 3 SMEs, including Citimetal Industries Inc., Imperial Hardware Ltd., and Jia Yunn Ice Co., Ltd., during the joint review meeting for the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by SMEs. At present, the total investment of approximately NT$337.6 billion by 786 SMEs was approved under the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by SMEs, and will create 29,602 domestic employment opportunities. At present, the three major programs for investing in Taiwan have driven 1,183 companies to invest approximately NT$1.6728 trillion, which is expected to create 133,288 domestic employment opportunities, and the applications of 4 companies are still pending review.
Citimetal Industries Inc. specializes in the production of alloy steel lost wax casting products for cars and scooters, machinery and hardware, valves, and medical equipment. Its products have obtained international certifications and are sold to America, Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. To develop new generation processes and smart production lines, the company plans to invest over NT$500 million to build 3 new plants in Jiali District, Tainan City, and will also set up production lines with advanced machinery and equipment in its existing 2 plants and new plants, which will significantly improve quality and enable the company to provide comprehensive solutions for each customer. The plants will also be installed with a wax recycling system, and will utilize the residual heat from the conventional wax recycling system to effectively save energy. The investment will create 55 domestic employment opportunities.
Imperial Hardware Ltd. mainly manufacturers and sells building hardware, and its products include door handles, window handles, fireproof locks, brass padlocks, aluminum door lock, and hardware accessories. The company sells its products under its own brand IMPERIAL, and exports 95% of products across the world. Its many products are used in award winning buildings in Asia, such as Kuala Lumpur’s W Hotel, Bayan Tree Hotel, and Tropicana Garden RT1&RT2. The company plans to invest over NT$100 million to build a plant in Taichung City Nantun Industrial Park with advanced energy-efficient machinery and equipment, in order to develop a plant with smart management. The plant will have lower energy consumption, maintain the company’s presence in the international market, and achieve sustainable development. The plant will also create domestic employment opportunities after it is completed.
Jia Yunn Ice Co., Ltd. has years of experience making ice using 100% pure water from RO water purifiers. The ice is sold to major convenience store chains, supermarkets, tea shops, cafes, and breakfast shops. The company plans to recruit an additional 11 domestic employees and invest nearly NT$300 million to build a new plant in Nantou County Zhushan Township. The ice factory will have an integrated production line with advance water purification equipment, ice making machines, and ice storage tanks, creating a smart automated ice production line. The ice is not handled by personnel to lower the risk of contamination. With regard to carbon reduction, the company uses energy-efficient refrigeration equipment that effectively lowers energy consumption by 20%. It uses crushed ice that is to be discarded to cool the compressor, thereby achieving water and energy conservation.
