InvesTaiwan reviewed and approved the joint investment project of Sunlit Transportation Co., Ltd., Chengli Logistics Co., Ltd., Shenli Logistics Co., Ltd., and Shangli Logistics Co., Ltd. with the overall investment amount reaching nearly NT$32 billion. The 4 companies have been established for 25 years or longer, and transport finished vehicles, finished scooters, and parts of vehicles and scooters for different customer groups. The companies also provide finished vehicle management and parts warehousing and management services. The companies are optimistic about the future development of Taiwan’s automobile market, and saw the necessity and urgency of developing a large scale warehouse to replace small scattered bases, in order to integrate the upstream and downstream industry chain. The investment project will construct 2 smart warehousing and logistics parks in Guanyin District and Xinyu District, Taoyuan City. The logistics park in Guanyin will be jointly constructed by Sunlit Transportation Co., Ltd., Shenli Logistics Co., Ltd., and Shangli Logistics Co., Ltd. The park will be planned with 3 logistics centers, warehouse, repair and maintenance area, energy storage system, and information and administration center; 7 buildings in total. As for the logistics park in Xinwu, Chengli Logistics Co., Ltd. will construct a large scale smart warehouse and energy storage facilities. The design of the two logistics parks takes environmental sustainability into consideration. Besides meeting green building standards, solar panels are installed on rooftops and energy storage systems are installed for peak electricity consumption at night. The companies hope that the investment will drive the development of the automobile and scooter industries, smart warehouses, and renewable energy and energy storage, fulfilling their corporate social responsibility by accelerating investments in Taiwan and creating over 600 local employment opportunities.
Chiufengyuan Food Co., Ltd. produces and sells vegetarian products to major food processing plants, central kitchens, and wholesalers. Due to rising awareness of environmental protection and carbon reduction as well as health, the company uses processing technology to make vegetarian food look like regular food, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions from animal husbandry and stably increase customers who are concerned about environmental protection and are vegetarian. The company thus plans to recruit 26 domestic employees and invest over NT$100 million to build a plant in Zhushan, Nantou County, using smart energy-efficient, low-carbon equipment to effectively reduce electricity consumption. The plant will also maximize resource efficiency through heat and rainwater recycling, and thereby enhance the company’s competitiveness.
