InvesTaiwan today (14th) approved the additional investment of 3 SMEs in Taiwan, including Jun He Technology Co., Ltd., GREENYN Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and a well-known bus company. To date, the Three Major Programs for Investing in Taiwan have attracted over NT$2.5347 trillion in investments from 1,673 companies, and are expected to create 161,060 domestic employment opportunities. Of which, the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by SMEs has attracted approximately NT$578.7 billion in investments from 1,136 SMEs, creating 40,860 domestic employment opportunities. The applications of 7 companies are currently pending review.
GREENYN Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a major health food manufacturer, focuses on the R&D and production of world-class health food ingredients. The company has firmly established itself as a leading brand in the industry with its outstanding technological and innovation capabilities. Its main products include the first US FDA-approved Antrodia cinnamomea mycelia (Antromax®), the patented Bitter melon extract (Insumate®), and Zymologist®101 Phyto Fermented Drink, Citrusvel®, RabenLiv®, and RabenWhite®. In response to developments in its business strategy, the company will invest nearly NT$1.7 billion to build a health food factory that meets international certification standards in Juxing Industrial Park in Tanzi, Taichung City to accelerate its CDMO strategy. The company will introduce AI manufacturing technology, combine MES and SAP systems, and monitor data in real-time to improve production accuracy and efficiency. The new plant will introduce supercritical fluid extraction technology and equipment to effectively reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. It will also install solar power generation equipment, energy-efficient air-conditioning system, and process water recycling technology to improve energy and water resource efficiency, developing a green process and low-carbon smart factory aligned with the trend of ESG.
Jun He Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on optical precision molds and optical finished product injection molding, and is an important partner of major domestic and foreign optical manufacturers. As the first company in Taiwan to adopt X-ray inspection products, the company was recognized by the German company Zeiss in an interview, and obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications, demonstrating its world class manufacturing capabilities. Jun He Technology Co., Ltd. first applied for the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by SMEs in 2021. It submitted a second application to invest nearly NT$200 million to increase its production capacity and enhance its technological competitiveness. The company will introduce a smart production line and automatic arm process in its existing plant in Fuxing Township, Changhua County, and will adopt an AI monitoring system for multi-hole precision optical component molding, combining AI analysis and real-time temperature control to improve yield and shorten testing time and cost. In addition, the company will introduce a MES and machine networking technology to ensure process stability and accuracy, further enhancing its competitive advantages. At the same time, the company has completed its carbon inventory to ensure that operations comply with ESG standards, and is making an active effort to obtain environmental certifications to develop a sustainable green factory.
In response to the net zero emission policy, a well-known domestic bus company is actively implementing green transportation and improving the environmental performance of public transportation. The company plans to invest over NT$200 million to introduce a smart management system, in order to improve fleet operating efficiency and energy management through AI big data analysis, remote monitoring, and AI scheduling. In addition, the vehicles will be equipped with advanced safety monitoring technology to ensure passenger safety, improving the stability of its operations and its ability to prevent accidents. In the future, the company will continue to invest in smart transportation technology, step up digital transformation, and provide more eco-friendly and convenient public transportation services to help cities become more sustainable.
