Uni-President Superior Commissary Corp. focuses on the development and production of fresh food products for convenience stores. It stably supplies a wide variety of products, including rice balls, boxed meals, risotto, and pasta, to all 7-ELEVEN convenience stores in Taiwan and has obtained numerous international food safety certifications, including ISO 22000. In response to the growth and increasingly higher quality requirements of the food-away-from-home market, Uni-President Superior Commissary has invested over NT$1.4 billion to expand its production capacity and build its Tainan Plant No. 2 in Madou District, Tainan City, increasing employment opportunities in southern Taiwan and strengthening its supply chain resilience. The new plant will introduce smart manufacturing and AI production scheduling systems, advanced equipment such as single-pot rice cookers, visual recognition, and AI history tracking, and strengthen digital and automated management to build a highly flexible and efficient fresh food production system. The plant also has solar power generation, energy management, and heat recovery systems, uses energy efficient equipment, and compiles its carbon inventory for further energy conservation and carbon reduction. Uni-President Superior Commissary will continue to connect the AI ordering systems of convenience stores to create Taiwan's most advanced smart fresh food manufacturing base and smart supply chain.
