InvesTaiwan approved the application of Ta-Yuan Cogen Co., Ltd. to invest in Taiwan. To date, the three major programs for investing in Taiwan have attracted over NT$2.5484 trillion in investments from 1,682 companies, and are expected to create 161,418 domestic employment opportunities. A total of 205 domestic corporations invested approximately NT$596.3 billion under the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by Domestic Corporations, and created 28,964 employment opportunities. The Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by SMEs has attracted 1,142 SMEs to invest a total of approximately NT$585.6 billion, and created 40,904 employment opportunities.
Ta-Yuan Cogen has focused on power generation and industrial steam integration for years, and is committed to providing a stable supply of energy needed by industries in Dayuan Industrial Park. The company applied for the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by SMEs in 2023 to improve its energy efficiency, and is now launching its second project to continue working towards the goal of transitioning to low-carbon energy. This project will invest nearly NT$300 million in Dayuan District, Taoyuan City, and will add steam turbines and generators to the gas turbine unit to build an efficient combined cycle power generation system. It will utilize a waste heat recovery mechanism to improve fuel efficiency, save energy, and reduce carbon emissions. In addition, the project will also introduce AI technology, combining data analysis and optimization models for scheduling and load adjustment, so as to improve overall operational efficiency and energy efficiency. Going forward, the company will continue to implement AI-powered management measures to develop towards circular economy and smart energy, and will actively support the government's energy transition policy to move towards the vision of low-carbon, sustainable, and diverse energy applications.
