The 7th Vision Get Wild Exhibition, an annual event organized by the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, will be held from May 10 to 12, 2017 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.
The highlight of this year's event is the VR-themed pavilion, which involves the participation of designers from six countries, including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, the United States, Russia and Mainland China. Visitors will get to see and experience the latest VR-related products and technology.
The Vision Get Wild Exhibition is the leading digital content competition and expo in Taiwan. This year's exhibition is divided into three areas: the Vigorous Institutes Area, co-designed by 27 local universities and 38 digital content-related departments, the Commercial Brand Area, displaying products of leading brands in the field, and the Special Featured Area, containing visual design and VR technology themes. There will also be seminars and sharing sessions on various topics, such as design, animation and VR/AR, for the exchange of ideas.
The event this year differs from previous ones. It aims to create a more internationalized and interactive exploring environment, and strengthen the images of Taiwanese brands, IDB Secretary General Yang Chih-ching said during a pre-event press conference.
Through the exhibition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs hopes to provide a forum for quasi-graduate students to showcase their work and employers to find suitable candidates for certain job openings.
